Litter A3 – And Yes, We Really Are Back to the Letter A
When I was registering our newest litter, I had to stop and smile for a moment. After nineteen years of breeding, we have come full circle and found ourselves back at the letter A.
And it’s not the first time.
It’s not even the second.
It’s the third.
It may sound like a small thing, but moments like this remind you just how long the journey has been. Between our very first A litter and today’s A3 litter lies nearly twenty years of life. Twenty years of carefully planned matings, sleepless nights spent watching over kittens, cat shows, veterinary visits, celebrations, worries, and countless memories.
Twenty years of friendships with families who welcomed one of our kittens into their homes. Twenty years of saying goodbye to beloved cats who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, while others are still bringing joy to their families every single day.
A lot has changed over the years. When we started, social media barely existed, photographs uploaded at speeds that would drive most people crazy today, and finding information about breeding required a completely different approach.
Some of our former kittens have long since become parents and grandparents themselves. Some are no longer with us. Others are enjoying happy lives as cherished family members.
And into this symbolic litter, fate chose our Motylka.
Our champion Kupu Kupu—known at home simply as Motylka—has become a mother for the very first time.
We remember her as a tiny kitten born to Pepina and Piškot—a curious Bengal girl with big eyes and an endless supply of energy. Today, we watch her as she cares for her own kittens, and once again we are reminded of just how quickly time passes.
Today, we watch her care for her own kittens and are reminded once again how quickly time passes.
Together with Teddánek, she welcomed two beautiful brown Bengal girls into the world.
Both kittens are highly contrasted, healthy, and from their very first days have made it clear that they have strong opinions about how the household should be run. Each has her own personality, but they share one important trait: curiosity.
Everything must be inspected.
Everything must be explored.
And, whenever possible, they must be involved in absolutely everything.
They have also quickly discovered two things they consider essential for a happy life: kibble and the sofa.
Kibble, in their opinion, is one of humanity’s greatest inventions. And the sofa has gradually become their favorite place for sleeping, playing, and supervising household activities. As for who originally owned it, we have decided not to discuss that topic any further.
What we enjoy most, however, are the simple everyday moments.
The times when they fall asleep curled up together.
When they discover a new toy for the first time.
When they bravely venture just a little farther than they did the day before.
These are the moments that cannot be photographed properly or displayed on a shelf beside trophies, yet they are exactly why breeding has such meaning.
After nineteen years, you learn that time passes quickly.
In just a few weeks, these little girls will be bigger, more independent, and ready to explore the world beyond our home. That is why we try to enjoy every stage exactly as it is.
If one of our little Bengal ladies has caught your attention and you are considering a Bengal cat as a new family member, we would be delighted to hear from you. We are always happy to talk about the breed, our cats, and the way our kittens are raised.
We will begin welcoming visitors and accepting possible reservations after the kittens receive their first vaccination, which will be after June 17. Until then, both girls are enjoying a carefree kittenhood under the watchful eye of their mother, Motylka.
If you are interested in a kitten from litter A3—or simply have a question—please do not hesitate to contact us.
Choosing the right family is just as important to us as helping you find the right kitten.
We look forward to seeing where this next chapter of the Whinecat story will take us.
